Thanks for the feature requests! I’m not sure what you mean by a few of them, though. Hopefully, these suggestions will help NNW become better and eventually become THE best RSS Feed reader available, as it once was. Until then it will have to remain a throwback novelty. Unfortunately, NNW feels to be the same app/workflow as it was back then with little evolution other than being on my iDevice.Īdding features such as Category (folder) views, device feed sharing (iCloud Drive), newspaper style view, duplicate elimination/aggregation, recommended feeds, auto category forward, and auto-read would make NNW my go-to news reading solution. When NNW was released, I was hoping that it would significantly improve my news reading experience, as it did years ago. If you're looking for a lightweight RSS reader that has a native iOS aesthetic (like the Mail app), Lire is for you. I was excited to hear NNW coming back and that it would be available on my current devices (iPad/iPhone). Almost every menu, option, and even buttons are designed to. I can describe Reeder 4 in one word minimal. Now, with two fingers, you can swipe up or down at any point in a feed of items and mark all as read above or below (respectively) - it's an elegant idea that should be integrated into every feed reader.I used to use NetNewsWire years ago and loved it, I was so disappointed when it went away. Feedly is primarily an RSS service that offers an app and other functions for a better mobile device. If you want to see or change the default settings, click Advanced. Websites are updated frequently with new content, and it may become a task to check them now and then. It contains simple files or feeds that store the latest news in text format.

These gestures don't work when you're viewing a full list of feed entries, so you can't swipe all the way back to the top directory. Swiping from left to right moves you back to the full feed list view, and swiping right to left loads the web view. There's also a quick access menu for adjusting type size and line height. At the top of the item feed, you'll find a Readability icon loading a cleaner 'Readability view' of the page.
